First Wash & Care Guide
Follow these steps before first use and with every wash to get the best from your towels.
Step 1 — Wash Before First Use
Machine wash cold or warm (up to 104°F / 40°C) with similar colors. A cold or warm cycle is enough to begin loosening the cotton fibers and rinsing out any residual finishing from the weaving process. Check the care label on your towels if it specifies a different temperature.
Step 2 — Skip the Fabric Softener
Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets. Softener coats cotton fibers with a waxy residue that reduces their ability to absorb water. Avoid bleach as well — it can weaken the cotton fibers over time. Mild detergent is all you need.
Step 3 — Dry Gently
Tumble dry on low heat, or line dry in a well-ventilated spot. High heat can cause unnecessary wear on the flat weave. Remove promptly from the dryer to keep them fresh and minimize creasing.
Step 4 — Repeat for Best Results
Wash and dry two to three times using the same routine before regular use. Each cycle opens the cotton fibers a little more. You should notice increased softness and better water absorption with each wash. Full absorbency typically sets in after the second or third wash, and softness continues to improve gradually with regular laundering.
